Hand-woven rugs, baskets and mats, together with traditional home décor and beadwork, appeal strongly to the growing local and regional market for authentic, artisan-made décor and lifestyle products. With consistent quality standards and clearer branding, these products carry potential to reach tourism, hospitality and gift-market buyers well beyond Wajir County – diversifying member income away from dependence on any single value chain.

• Woven Handbags: Our members expertly weave handbags from a variety of materials, including recycled plastic bags, sisal, and locally sourced grasses. Each bag is a masterpiece of design and durability, showcasing intricate patterns and vibrant colors. These bags are not just accessories; they are a fashion statement with a story.
• Foot Mats & Rugs: We create durable and beautifully patterned foot mats, perfect for adding a touch of cultural warmth to any home. These mats are often woven from natural fibers, making them both stylish and sustainable.
• Baskets & Storage Items: Our members weave a variety of baskets in different shapes and sizes, ideal for storage, shopping, or as decorative items.
• Beaded Jewelry: Some members specialize in creating traditional and modern jewelry using colorful beads, adding another dimension to our handicraft portfolio.
