Our Bold Vision:
A Modern, Purpose-Built Production Facility

To truly scale our operations and meet the growing demand for our products, we have developed an ambitious plan to construct a dedicated, state-of-the-art Tie-and-Dye production facility. This facility will be designed around an optimized Production Lifecycle that we have carefully mapped out to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety at every stage.

The Proposed Production Lifecycle (As per our architectural diagram):

• Raw Fabric Store (Shelves): A dedicated, organized storage area for incoming raw fabrics, protected from dust and damage, ensuring materials are readily available when production begins.
• Dye Preparation & Chemical Table/Storage: A secure and well-ventilated area for the precise measurement, mixing, and safe storage of dyes and chemicals, adhering to strict occupational health and safety standards.
• Tying & Folding Area (Work Tables, Chairs): A spacious, well-lit workspace equipped with ergonomic tables and chairs where our artisans can comfortably and efficiently perform the intricate tying and folding techniques that create our unique patterns.
• Dyeing Area (Dye Vats, Buckets): A dedicated zone with large, durable dye vats and buckets, designed with proper drainage and water tanks for efficient and clean dyeing processes.
• Washing/Rinsing Area (Water Tanks, Drainage): A designated area with ample water supply and proper drainage systems for thoroughly washing and rinsing dyed fabrics, ensuring color fastness and removing excess dye.
• Drying Area (Clotheslines/Racks): A large, open-air or covered space with extensive clotheslines and drying racks to allow fabrics to dry evenly and naturally, preserving the vibrancy of the colors.
• Finishing & Packaging Area (Ironing, Packing): A final workstation where finished fabrics are professionally ironed, quality-checked one last time, and meticulously packaged, ready for sale and delivery to our customers.

The Need for This Facility: Currently, our members work from dispersed, makeshift home-based setups. This limits our capacity, creates inefficiencies in workflow, and makes it difficult to maintain consistent quality control. A central, modern facility will:

• Increase Production Capacity: We will be able to process larger volumes of fabric simultaneously, moving from small-batch to bulk production.
• Enhance Product Quality: Standardized equipment and dedicated workspaces will lead to greater consistency and a more premium final product.
• Improve Worker Safety: A properly designed facility will minimize exposure to chemicals and ensure a safe, comfortable working environment for our members.
• Boost Efficiency: An optimized workflow will reduce production time and waste, significantly lowering our operational costs.
• Attract Institutional Buyers: A modern, professional facility demonstrates our commitment to quality and reliability, making us a more attractive partner for large retailers and international buyers.

Our Fundraising Campaign:

We are seeking partners and investors to help us turn this vision into reality. The total estimated cost for constructing this fully equipped production facility is approximately KES 20 million (Twenty Million Kenyan Shillings).

These funds will cover:

• Construction & Structural Works: Building the physical infrastructure according to our production lifecycle design.
• Equipment & Machinery: Purchasing and installing industrial dye vats, water tanks, drying racks, workstations, ironing and packaging equipment, and chemical storage solutions.
• Utility Connections: Ensuring reliable water and electricity supply to the facility.
• Furnishing & Fit-out: Providing ergonomic furniture and shelving for all production areas.
